Brian Hirsch is a co-founder of Tribeca Venture Partners. Prior to starting Tribeca Venture Partners, Brian was a founder and Managing Director of GSA Venture Partners, formerly the venture arm of Greenhill & Co (NYSE: GHL). Prior to GSAVP, Brian was a Principal at Sterling Venture Partners and led the firm’s investments in technology-related companies. He is currently a board member of Flat World Knowledge, FTRANS, HomeSphere, Lendio, Pontiflex, RealDirect, ShopKeep, Spanfeller Media Group, TRAFFIQ and Vook. Brian is also a board observer at Crowdtap. He previously sat on the boards of YellowJacket (acquired by InterContinental Exchange (NYSE:ICE)), KnowledgeStorm (acquired by TechTarget (NASDAQ: TTGT)) and eCredit (acquired by Fidelity Ventures).
Prior to joining Sterling Venture Partners, Brian was a vice president at ABN AMRO Private Equity (“AAPE”), the U.S. venture capital group of ABN AMRO N.V., at the time one of the world’s ten largest banks. Some of Brian's investments while at AAPE included OpenWave Systems (NASDAQ: OPWV), Daleen Technologies (NASDAQ: DALN), eCredit.com (acquired by ICG), NIKSUN and Oasis Technology (acquired by eFunds). Before joining AAPE, Brian worked as a senior consultant at KPMG in the Information, Communications & Entertainment (ICE) practice, where his clients included General Electric, CBS/Westinghouse and the Tribune Company.
Brian is on the board of the New York Venture Capital Association (NYVCA) where he founded the Ingenuity Conference, one of NY’s largest annual venture events. He is also a co-founder and Organizer of the NYC Turing Fellows Program. Brian has a BA in economics and American studies from Brandeis University.
